Thames Diner and contact lenses:

I went into town to sort my contact lens appointment and K McGuiness always treat me with kindness and class.

Having successfully ordered my months supply of lenses for new filming opportunities and days where I'll need to desert my glasses I popped into the Thames Cafe/ Thames Diner as it's been a little while since I was in.

The people there are always amazing and friendly and one of the staff members joked about getting my autograph when I told her about all the progress I've been making since my bedbound/housebound decade ended.

Ordered a lovely cup of tea as I waited for my dad to pick me up as he was passing through and it saves me sitting at the bus stop, cold. It was greatly appreciated and even though it's been a while since I visited that cafe, people in there are always smiley and friendly and the cafe is always clean and inviting.

I left a positive review for them on their Facebook page and on Google and hope that their cafe never changes.

I prefer the smaller cafe's on the town but it's nice to have options and I prefer visiting that little one in the summer. It's situated opposite the leisure centre and in our little indoor Thames center.

We also have a butchers, pet store, tattooists, Barbers and some charity shops in our little center and it's fully accessible with automatic doors, flat paving and indoor seating with an unusual statue to have a gander at.

If you're ever in our little town of Newton Aycliffe I highly recommend popping in for a little visit before heading off to the other aide of the town with the bigger stores.

I got my lip and tongue pierced at No Regrets the tattoo parlour in the Thames center and it's perfect when seeking little finds for up cycling or jewelry making. Lots to choose from.

I'm still ever so proud of my little town and there is still a lot here to cherish and appreciate, often people forget that and overlook that and with the way the internet is, people online seem to be getting more bitter and worse. Human kindness and decency is rare in this day and age I'm afraid but I'm so proud our little town and townsfolk are still so genuine and full of life amd positivity!

Thanks so much for following and keeping up to date with my little blog in my corner of the internet, it's greatly appreciated.
