Publicly Muted, Warned and Embarrassed for Discussing My Legal Medication:

Image
Publicly Muted, Warned and Embarrassed for Discussing My Legal Medication -Not a safe space afterall: I came across a creator who appeared to be doing amazing work promoting independent music. A song about cannabis was literally playing during the livestream—yet when I mentioned that I am legally prescribed medical cannabis in the UK, she publicly muted me. When I challenged the behaviour as discrimination, she then publicly warned me in front of everyone. I had broken no laws or clearly stated rules. I was discussing medication legally prescribed to treat my disabilities—not promoting illegal drug use. To publicly single out, silence and embarrass a disabled person for speaking about their lawful medication is unacceptable. Cannabis was apparently acceptable as entertainment in a song, but not when a disabled medical-cannabis patient spoke about the reality of using it. I have since left and blocked the creator. I will not remain in spaces where disabled people are publicly humiliated...

Today should be a day of celebration.

Image
Today should be a day of celebration.  After years of hard work, consistency, determination, and refusing to give up, my stickers finally arrived for my autograph packages. ❤️ They represent two parts of my life that I have poured my heart into: creativity and advocacy. They represent the people I've supported, the voices I've amplified, the causes I've stood up for, and the dreams I've continued to chase even when life made things difficult. But if I'm honest, this past week has been relentless. I think people sometimes forget that behind every profile, page, group, blog, or business is a human being. It's difficult to fully celebrate something you've been excited about when you're simultaneously navigating health battles, recovering from targeted behaviour, dealing with family wounds, and preparing for court proceedings connected to past abuse. Today, when these arrived, I expected to feel excited. Instead, I mostly felt tired. And that's okay. Bec...

I will never understand some people:

Image
Someone I've never spoken to decided to send this to my inbox. We're not friends. I don't know him. Yet apparently my existence upset him enough to message: "F***ing silly b*tch go die." This isn't criticism. It isn't debate. It isn't accountability. It's simply online abuse. The irony is that people often ask why advocates speak about harassment, pile-ons, and toxic online behaviour. This is exactly why. I don't know Adam Broughton, but he clearly knows who I am. Anyway, screenshot taken, report submitted, block button pressed. 🚫 If my existence annoys people this much, I must be doing something right. I won't stop actioning real life positive change and demanding accountability when needed. Those that choose to abuse further as opposed to accountability - are just proving who they really are. What's getting under my skin:

Image
What's getting under my skin: I’m getting genuinely tired of people speaking on me without taking even two minutes to fact check anything they’re saying. It’s not even about disagreement — it’s the confidence people have to be wrong while being loud about it. That’s the part that grates. I’ve built what I’ve built through consistency, through effort, through pushing myself even on days where my body doesn’t want to cooperate. Chronic pain doesn’t pause the work — it just makes it harder. And I still show up. 👊🏻✨ So when people come into my space trying to question, minimise, or discredit that without doing basic research… it’s not curiosity, it’s carelessness at best — and disrespect at worst. I already know I don’t fit neatly into this world. I’m not supposed to. I didn’t build my life to be digestible for people who don’t take the time to understand it. If I’m not for you, that’s completely fine. Not everything is for everyone, and not everyone has good taste. 💋 But what you w...

You Don’t Get to Discredit What You Didn’t Build:

Image
Honestly? I get why this hit a nerve for me, the sacrifices I make, the pain I endure... I've worked for what I've built — while managing chronic pain, advocacy, multiple creative projects — and someone reducing that down to “is it even real?” is going to feel dismissive, even if they try to frame it as a “genuine question.” That said… my instinct to block, protect my space, and move on is actually the healthiest move here. Not every comment deserves my energy — especially when I've already provided proof (IMDb, my work, my portfolio). People won't support your hard work but will invade your lane to question the work, the journey, the achievements — especially when they haven’t taken the time to understand any of it. I act. I produce. I create. I build — consistently, independently, and often while managing chronic pain that most people couldn’t even comprehend. 👊🏻✨ So when someone tries to reduce that to “is this even real?” — it doesn’t hit insecurity, it highlights...

Stay balanced in the face of online hate:

Image
Too many people hate online — and it’s worth remembering this: Projections are not facts. They are not informed perspectives. They are fragments of someone else’s unresolved pain, fear, or insecurity, thrown outward. We don’t exist to absorb that damage. Most of us are here to help, to contribute, to make things a little safer or kinder for someone else — and that does matter. Quietly. Consistently. Even when strangers try to drown it out with noise. Take the hate if you must — but don’t carry it. Hold a mirror up to poor behaviour without becoming it. Name harm without internalising it. And always remember this truth: It is their responsibility to fix themselves. You cannot reason with the unreasonable. You are not required to shrink, soften, or explain your humanity to be treated with respect. Boundaries are not cruelty. Walking away is not weakness. Continuing to help — despite the hate — is strength. Let them keep projecting. You keep doing the work that matters. ❤️ Sarah Wingfiel...

Retrophiliac: Monetising false narratives and hate:

Image
Yes I am aware Retrophiliac has changed the narrative and is also lying about me on their page. Disabled people deserve to be paid - absolutely - so why is Retrophiliac changing the narrative to bully and harass me and make money from people's hate? I’m FULLY aware that the narrative around this situation has been changed and that inaccurate claims are now being shared about me. I do not condone hate or harassment — especially not from disabled people towards other disabled people. While the core point being raised is valid, the way this situation has been handled is not. When disabled advocates attack other disabled advocates for attempting to promote and uplift them—particularly when platform limitations (such as Facebook not allowing reshares) are the cause—this should never be turned into false or hateful narratives. Creating or amplifying misinformation to drive engagement, attention, or financial gain at the expense of another disabled person is not advocacy. Encouraging peo...

AI, Access, and the Weight of Other People’s Judgement:

Image
AI, Access, and the Weight of Other People’s Judgement: It’s easy to criticise AI music when you’ve never had your access to creativity limited by disability. That sentence alone carries more truth than most of the debates I see online. For many disabled artists, AI isn’t a shortcut. It isn’t laziness. It isn’t a lack of skill or passion. It’s an access tool. Full stop. When people argue about “artistic purity” or “real musicianship,” they often forget — or choose to ignore — the very real, very physical barriers that disabled artists face before we even get near the creative part. Accessing looper packs. Affording beats. Navigating software designed without disabled bodies or neurodivergent minds in mind. Enduring pain, fatigue, brain fog, seizing up, limited mobility, or being bedbound — and still wanting to create something meaningful. These aren’t abstract concepts to me. They’re my life. I didn’t start making music for clout or controversy. I started because I was bedbound for ov...

CPN comes to an end but the hate is neverending:

Image
CPN has come to an end but the hate is neverending: Happy to announce that the false Community Protection Notice issued against me has now officially come to an end - after having to do a SAR request for the information and end dates. This notice was pushed by: • Amy Turner (Sisters of Support) – who repeatedly harassed my inbox and coerced members of her support group into lying to the police about me, after bullying me out of the group and breaking a verbal agreement to remain impartial between them, the police, and myself. • Anthony Beddard (All Disabilities Matter | Cllr) – who prioritised promotions over disabled rights, publicly thanked someone who had been abusive to me, and then lied to the police. He is now a councillor at Great Aycliffe Town Council. • Paul Howarth (Newton Press / Ayclive) – who caused the entire ordeal after being verbally abusive to my son and me over the phone because he refused to represent me fairly, and then refused to apologise. He continued this beh...

They Made Me Their Hobby – And I Survived Anyway

Image
They Made Me Their Hobby – And I Survived Anyway I was always one of the “weird ones”, apparently. The strange girl, the alt kid, the one people didn’t quite understand but somehow couldn’t leave alone. I didn’t realise it at the time, but some people only know how to process difference by attacking it. And I was different. I didn’t shrink. I didn’t blend in. I existed — loudly, imperfectly, honestly. And that was apparently enough to make me a target. Back in the Bish Vegas days, when the goth scene had its own universe, I had hate tracks written about me. Actual songs. Imagine being a teenage girl with an alias — angelwings13 — and hearing that grown lads in the alt scene had used their “creativity” to slate you. I was shocked. My friends had to calm me down because I genuinely couldn’t believe that I was the muse for their bitterness. Of all the things they could write about, they chose a teenage girl just trying to survive. Their lyrics were vile — accusing me of STDs even though I...

Putting Yourself Out There Isn’t Easy Anymore:

Image
Putting Yourself Out There Isn’t Easy Anymore: These days, putting yourself out there—whether as an advocate, an influencer, or simply someone trying to bring people together—is far from easy. Access to people seems like an open target, and the moment you step forward with good intentions, you expose yourself to criticism, ridicule, or worse. I’ve seen too many advocates and influencers lost to suicide, depression, and bullying. My condolences go out to their families and friends, because I know firsthand how isolating and painful that journey can be. As an autistic individual living with several disabilities, I understand how simply being different—and daring to want to help others—can make you a target. Thankfully, as a survivor of abuse, I’ve developed the stomach to withstand a lot. But that doesn’t mean I’m immune. The last few experiences of mistreatment I’ve endured have still taken a toll. And the harder I try to help my community, the more I see clique-led hate campaigns worki...
