When I Shut Down, I’m Not Punishing You A neurodivergent explanation of overwhelm, boundaries, and repair There’s a persistent misunderstanding about neurodivergent people — particularly autistic and AuDHD people — that when we shut down, go quiet, or step away, we’re being difficult.
