Stay balanced in the face of online hate:
Too many people hate online — and it’s worth remembering this:
Projections are not facts.
They are not informed perspectives.
They are fragments of someone else’s unresolved pain, fear, or insecurity, thrown outward.
We don’t exist to absorb that damage.
Most of us are here to help, to contribute, to make things a little safer or kinder for someone else — and that does matter. Quietly. Consistently. Even when strangers try to drown it out with noise.
Take the hate if you must — but don’t carry it.
Hold a mirror up to poor behaviour without becoming it.
Name harm without internalising it.
And always remember this truth:
It is their responsibility to fix themselves.
You cannot reason with the unreasonable.
You are not required to shrink, soften, or explain your humanity to be treated with respect.
Boundaries are not cruelty.
Walking away is not weakness.
Continuing to help — despite the hate — is strength.
Let them keep projecting.
You keep doing the work that matters. ❤️

Alt text:
A square, minimalist conceptual image showing a person dressed in black standing against a pale, cloudy sky. They hold a large oval mirror in front of their face, fully obscuring their identity, with the mirror reflecting the sky and clouds. Bold black text inside the mirror reads “Hold a mirror up.” Below, on the person’s clothing, smaller white text reads “Challenge what needs to be challenged.” In the top right corner is a heart-shaped logo with the words “Kawaii Doll Decora” in a gothic-style font. At the bottom of the image, pink text reads “KawaiiDollDecora.uk.”
