Image reads:

"If someone shows you their true colours, don't try to repaint them."

It can be hard to accept that someone is not as you'd have liked them to be, a bitter pill to swallow indeed.

However, albeit a bitter taste it is truly a revelation, an eye opener, a blessing; in this sense it allows you to process the facts of who they really were.

You face your pain and agree with your hurt, upset and anger because they come from a place that you know deep within your soul, you'd have never ever done that to them.

In a world such as this, cold, hard and rough around the edges, it is very rare to find genuine softness, kindness, empathy or emotion. Stoicism is the new trend and cure-all, and every day, more and more of us allow the world to take a chip off us, coercive control us and we shape ourselves to try and get the most peaceful life possible.

It's a huge bubble burst when you realise that no matter what you do, other people will still be them and no matter what tactic you use to de-escalate a situation, life is rarely like chess and other games as no matter your moves, you can't change other people.

You can't make them listen, be patient, want to understand and you can't make them face themselves as they refuse.

All you can do, is learn from behaviours and behavioural patterns and avoid people like that.

No attention is best as the majority of antagonists thrive from negative attention, as it's still attention.

Of course, I wish there was a magical and definitive way of detecting who amongst you is a facade or an authentic and undoubtedly life will always bring pain as it brings joy, like the weather and the rain, storms pass; but at least your past experiences has taught you to be careful.

Observe, actions matter more than words and then you'll find who deserves to be around you and deserves your kind and soft nature, and who no longer deserves any space in your life.

People reveal a lot about themselves if you take a step back and observe.

To all those out there today, irregardless of gender, if you are hurting, healing, or even struggling with the paradoxical world we reside on, if you remember ONE thing from today, please let it be that 'People reveal who they are themselves' and may you never forget that it's not your fault when you struggle to navigate the seas others create for you.

You cannot help nor save everyone and their lives are not your responsibility, you have a responsibility to yourself and your wellbeing to make sure you're building a life for yourself that you can be happy in, whether you are with someone, or alone.

I wish that for you.

Meanwhile, whilst we navigate such seas mateys! I wish you all the best with the waves yet to come your way.

Believe in yourself.

~Only you can be the best navigator for you.~
