Our miracle son, cancer, disability, SPD, Love and Family..

Image
Help us someone... Some one please help me, as i am suffocating from the system we have in place, a system in which is breaking me as a person as i am already broken as a mother as my son has cancer, this is such an emotional suffocation of hurt for my son and the wish i could change places with him, the hope, our miracle that is our son, can survive and the maliciousness of humankind that has shown its ugly head at a time our family should be supported, not attacked, could be somehow hidden from our son, so we can protect him from it, but it is him that suffers with us. We should not be investigated or have a child protection conference for a child that is already protected by my husband and i, and his grandparents. I would DIE for my son, i would take a knife, a bullet, anything for my son to be able to live, even if for only a second longer than god has planned, because my son IS my life. He IS our life, and they are all asking us to forget it is happening, put it in the back...

.. have just fallen.

Well, I was OK, I have just fallen, and really hurt myself, severely, and I am on sooo much meds already. My husband was taking a shower as I was on this laptop sat on the settee and the baby was fast asleep in his cotbed, and he wasn't going to be long. My mobile rang, I tried to do what I get help with, but due the lack of promised GRAB RAILS I fell over, knocked a stool over, nearly broke my plaster hand jewellery holder that I am painting and was a present from my husband, and I grabbed onto the bed (all this is short distances away from each other as we are forced to live in our living room still. I used the bed to pull myself up from the floor and grabbed my phone which was on charge on the other side of the bed where the sockets are. It was my grandma, my great. grandad whom i love sooo much and really care about is still really ill, having been in and out of hospital I don't know if he is out right now or not, she was trying to phone my Auntie instead, she a...

...meetings...

Well the meetings today.... I have lost a family friend she has died, i have the meeting today about our life and whether we can have the stairlift and adaptations that we need, and i had the police round yesterday about the hospital incident and they say I have to complain directly to the hospital. I have been let down and personally attacked unfairly by a seller of *product info removed* items who feels it is appropriate behaviour to slander and abuse people that state the truth (when something goes wrong) with what she sells.... what is the world coming to .... ...I am going through enough and she knows this, to personally slander and attack a 'compliment' i left on her shop is unprofessional especially when she is defined as 'customer support' for the whole shop community site and to have had the offensive remarks I have had since I first purchased from her I never knew it was her on the ebay site and she made me buy outside ebay on her personal shop site ...

*Dreams of the days to come* ...will be like winning the lottery.....

Hopeful finally...to be able to have a shower in our own home and use a real toilet in its own private room!!! I cannot wait! It's gonna be like Christmas or winning the lottery!!! <3 YES!! I Having got myself a caseworker from an organisation called Shelter, I am now feeling hopeful: summary of conversation: Apparantly due to my deprivation of much needed services, i.e. toilet/bathroom, and with being registered as a disability, and suffering for 7 months+, etc... I should have been awarded a stairlift regardless of any letter from any consultant before now. They apparantly need to assess on the needs of the individual and how high the needs are in which a commode is not suitable for use long term and no access to a toilet/bath or shower is not again a long term solution, along with no access to upstairs. I am not going to state anything that is confidential or important to the case but the caseworker will now write to social and myself and I am wai...

Hiding away and hoping...

I have been hiding away and avoidant again for a while but now i need to speak up again... Xmas is over now and we had a nice xmas as we stayed at my parents and they had bought a sofa and a matching sofa bed for their living room just for us!! Can you believe it, changed their furniture just so i would be able to sleep over at xmas. I love them so much! We are still fighting for a stairlift, our son is 6 weeks old 1st january and I am still trying to get my 6 weeks check up. Whats happened about the stairlift? Well, my new consultant originally refused to send social a letter about me as he refuses all his patients since a check from the county council previously bounced therefore its been seriously held up. My SPD's getting much worse and a while ago now i was in hospital with the stomach pains, different to SPD pains and the consultant who saw me on the 10th the one who discharged me without telling me who i was reassigned to on the 10th Dec said that it would subsid...

One step forward, then pulled back by a noose around my neck...

..A noose that is unwanted and put there by so called professionals trying to help, who are just making things more complicated and causing more suffering if you ask me. (Don't worry was merely a metaphor.) I finally gained access to much needed services, i.e. Pain Management Clinic and Physio experienced in Manual Therapy, when we receive the initial assessment from Social Services, which *surprise, surprise* was based on some false information too! The ex consultant of mine and ex midwife accused me of 'exaggerating' my condition and stated that I sought access to Adult Services and additional help RE: my condition, without consulting them. Do these people NEVER write anything down? I asked, I begged, I screamed, I cried, I gave up and tried to help myself, as they refused me the help I need. So now I hope they are happy as Welfare have defined our young son as "a child whose vulnerability is such they are unlikely to reach or maintain a satisfactory level of health ...

I need all the luck in the world:

Lady Luck please shine down on me.... I see my new consultant tomorrow at a different hospital now (will be exactly 37 weeks). Hope he takes me seriously and that I can get a professional examination for once. This SPD is agony, the immobility is still agony too. I had a dream the other night that I was walking in and when I woke up and found I couldn't even turn over again and was in absolute agony, it hit me all over again. For the last three days I have had the baby burrowing deeper and deeper into my pelvis and I really am not coping, I feel sick all the time, drained, in so much pain and I think I will ask/beg the new consultant to just induce me. SPD is bad enough on it's own but with the baby burrowed in there I am screaming more than usual. I have not been good company for my friends who have taken me in whilst our house has mandatory major council works done due to being ill still. Their stairlift has been such a godsend, making me more independent and helping me up...

And I actually thought social services were here to help people, bigger fool me!

I phoned my social worker , immediately she seemed to want to hang up on me and kept demanding who advised me to contact her. So I told her. She was still then more in the attitude of I cannot help with stairlifts, which was repeated throughout the call. I understand there are notes on her system but it would be nice to have the opportunity to explain our circumstance so she can make a decision as to what to do next if anything. She kept asking me what I want from her (in different words not that it matters anyway as its plain english) and I kept saying what can you do? Till the point I said well what is your job role?? I have left the conversation with her, more angry and upset than I was prior to it, feels like I was talking to a wall, and that as far as she is concerned she cannot help etc, although at one point she did say over and over again she feels the need to contact my midwife to state about my nutritional needs etc, and that she will be passing a referral to Family Welfa...

Ok... so no help they lied... we're in crisis! No wonder society is depressed and suicidal.

Seriously considering swallowing whatever pride and dignity I have left if I have any left now, and go to the media... to let the media know what the system are doing to people. I can see myself seriously ending up in hospital as no one can help us. Because I have this disability that is SPD I need: A stairlift = cannot get help for one cannot rent one due to financial situation and due to L shaped stairs. The internet: Costing us £60.00 to move to our council property to avoid homelessness. (we have to do online shopping/banking/the only communication i have with the outside world etc) The phone line for emergencies and the internet: £122.50 cost from BT as the council house doesn't have any wiring or a phone socket/access. The key meter is no good as we cannot top it up due to my care so Npower were willing to change it for free as we have been customers for nearly 2 years but take 28 days from the date we move in, and they said the gas and electric are with powergen. The lady I ...

Social Services and benefits

With health professionals (midwives) scaring the sh*t out of me about how we will cope when the baby is born I took it upon myself to phone social services myself. I asked for help for now, told them our situation and everything. They have been more than helpful. My husband is now officially my registered carer, they have been out to visit us, opened up our world a bit by offering advice, support and cheaper transport options. This is the adult section but they have said since my husband is going to be there most days as he is now the baby would'nt be defined as 'at risk'; there is no psychological issues etc. Midwives are still commenting though. It has taken me years to conceive and now I have, I have got SPD and my life feels like it has turned upside down. They are looking into financial help as the govt. are not very favourable to couples under 25 who are married, and we live in a Private Rented house, don't get me wrong we have been trying for a council house for ...
