My Not-To-Do list:

My Not-To-Do list: Well… that wasn’t on my to-do list. 🙃 I fell and twisted my ankle. One minute I was walking, next minute gravity said “absolutely not” and now I’m wrapped up in towels like a poorly little burrito. 😅 It’s sore. It’s frustrating. And if you know me, you know resting is not exactly my favourite hobby. I like being productive. I like moving. I like doing. But sometimes the body makes the decision for you. So I’m elevating it. Wrapping it. Being gentle. Letting it heal. 🩷 This is your reminder (and clearly mine too): Rest is not weakness. Slowing down is not failure. Healing is still progress. If I’m a little quieter while I recover, that’s why. Just sending love to my ankle and hoping it behaves itself. 💗✨ — Sarah Wingfield ❤️  #Healing #RestIsProductive #DisabledAndDetermined #KawaiiDollDecora #InConcreteIBloom Alt text: A close-up photo of a hand holding a square card against a soft, pale background. .. have just fallen.

Well, I was OK, I have just fallen, and really hurt myself, severely, and I am on sooo much meds already. My husband was taking a shower as I was on this laptop sat on the settee and the baby was fast asleep in his cotbed, and he wasn't going to be long. My mobile rang, I tried to do what I get help with, but due the lack of promised GRAB RAILS I fell over, knocked a stool over, nearly broke my plaster hand jewellery holder that I am painting and was a present from my husband, and I grabbed onto the bed (all this is short distances away from each other as we are forced to live in our living room still. I used the bed to pull myself up from the floor and grabbed my phone which was on charge on the other side of the bed where the sockets are. It was my grandma, my great. grandad whom i love sooo much and really care about is still really ill, having been in and out of hospital I don't know if he is out right now or not, she was trying to phone my Auntie instead, she a...

....try to think positive:

Meeting was really upsetting and traumatising, didn't really cope with it too well and it was really difficult but we're finally getting some help.  I just hope they dont go back on their word.  We are supposedly getting a temporary stairlift and i am up for review later, I know even though im disabled for life, but if that is what they need to do it's ok as i am using it as goal to try and get better for baby, even though the odds are against us at an 80% chance of damage during physio. Should be getting grab rails all over to stop me falling, hate falling over, ramps at both doors and a bath lift too.  Just really hope they don't change their minds...  ....wont be happy til its all done and definite as been messed about way too much now. 9 months was long enough with my suffering....

Completely dehumanised and helpless!

I am having to look into rehousing and have contacted my local council in regards to my housing needs, I have sought advice also from social services and my Occupational Therapist who has been more than wonderful. She allowed me to cry my eyes out and confide in her about my problems even though she can only help in regards to my housing needs. A much needed ear and her workplace are very lucky to have someone like her on their team. Why was I crying? I am extremely upset. I have not been able to tackle stairs for 3 weeks now in which means my hygiene has suffered. A quick wash at the sink is all I have been able to have and living off facewipes, I am depressed. At my parents (I am in their care at times) since they have a bath downstairs I attempted to have a bath, it hurt immensely when I opened my legs to step sideways in the bath and cannot stand on one leg therefore fell over into the bath and hurt my pelvis and left leg. (Having been to hospital on Friday the 2nd October with ext...
