Sundays:

Image
ðŸŒ¸ It's Sunday, so here's a little reminder from me... 🌸 The internet will still be there later. The notifications can wait. The endless scrolling can wait. Today, try to do something that reconnects you with the real world around you. Pick a flower. Take a walk. Read a book. Have a cuddle. Listen to the birds. Create something. Sit in the sunshine. Make a memory. Your phone can capture moments, but it shouldn't replace living them. Be present. Breathe. Notice the little things. Sometimes the best moments happen when we stop looking at a screen and start looking at life. 💖 What are you doing today that doesn't involve technology? 🌼 — Sarah Wingfield KawaiiDollDecora.uk #SundayMotivation #PositiveVibes #MindfulLiving #DigitalDetox #MentalWellbeing #SelfCareSunday #SundayThoughts #NatureHealing #LiveInTheMoment #KawaiiDollDecora Alt Text: A pastel floral motivational graphic featuring pink and white cosmos flowers surrounding a reflective water scene beneath a blue sk...

Mental Health Awareness:

Image
No one wakes up and chooses to struggle. Not to feel so low they can’t move. Not to feel so anxious they can’t breathe. Not to live in a body and mind that feels like it’s working against them. Mental illness is not a personality flaw. It’s not attention-seeking. It’s not a lack of strength. It’s real. It’s valid. And it deserves understanding — not judgment. If you’ve never experienced it, lead with empathy, not assumption. And if you have… I see you. You’re not alone in this. The image features a quote stating that no one would choose to be so depressed they can’t get out of bed, or so anxious they experience daily panic attacks, and that no one would choose to have a mental illness that worsens their life. The final line reads in bold: “MENTAL ILLNES...

The biggest issue for chronic pain warriors is not 'addiction' it's suicide #suicideawareness Credit: KawaiiDollDecora.UK Sarah Wingfield  Independent Disability Advocate    #disabilityinclusion #strongertogether #disability #disabilityawareness #disabilitysupport #disabilityrights Alt text: Pastel kawaii-style illustration showing a sad-looking young woman with long pink hair and glasses, hugging a plush bunny for comfort. She is surrounded by soft clouds, hearts, sparkles, and a rainbow arching across the top. Cute but somber details include small skull characters, a crying cloud holding a noose-shaped rope, and a tipped-over pill bottle with tablets spilling out, symbolising the seriousness of chronic pain and mental health struggles. Text on the image reads: “The biggest issue for chronic pain warriors is not ‘addiction’ it’s suicide” with the hashtag #suicideawareness. The artwork is signed and credited “KawaiiDollDecora.UK” in a pastel, dreamy background.

Suicide Awareness Certificate:

Image
A New Step in My Advocacy Journey: Suicide Awareness Training I’m proud to share that I’ve recently completed my Suicide Awareness Training with the Zero Suicide Alliance (ZSA). This certification means a lot to me — not just as another achievement, but as a personal commitment to understanding, compassion, and prevention. As someone who has struggled with mental health challenges, I know how heavy the world can feel at times. There have been moments when I felt completely unseen — and that’s why I believe so deeply that suicide is preventable. Not through empty words or quick fixes, but through connection, awareness, and empathy. The ZSA training offered practical tools to help recognise the signs when someone may be struggling, how to approach that conversation safely, and how to guide them toward the right support. It reinforced something I’ve always believed: we don’t need to be professionals to make a difference — we just need to show up with care and listen without judgement. I t...

Struggles build bridges:

Struggles build bridges: https://www.mind.org.uk/about-us/our-policy-work/the-big-mental-health-report/#findings Alt text: A quote on a light purple background that reads: “We need shorter wait times. You don't know if someone suffering will still be alive to go to their next appointment which is over a month away.” Below the quote, it says: Big Mental Health Survey. 2025 respondent. On the 8th... I nearly became a number, a statistic, a memory... An ASD episode, PTSD and on top of AuAdhd, I struggled.  Which is why I use my struggles to help others. We should never have to endure this - but we don't have to be alone in it. ❤️  Hit pause and rest, and don't let the bully in your brain - win. I'm fighting back now but I have a long road to recovery and mental health healing isn't linear, it's ups and downs and goods and bads - it's a rollercoaster and it's more complex for those with conditions and disabilities.  Together we can support each other and com...
