I've spent much of my life watching people rush to conclusions, make assumptions, and form opinions before all the facts are known. I've seen victims blamed. Online Conduct Has Real-World Consequences: One of the most common misconceptions I see online is the belief that behaviour only matters if someone is directly tagged, named, or if comments are made within a specific group. That simply isn't true. Social media platforms are interconnected spaces. Whether a comment is made on a personal profile, in a public group, on a page, or within a community discussion, the impact can still be very real. People do not need to be directly tagged for discussions to affect them. People do not need to be named for others to know who is being discussed. Context matters. When conversations become focused on individuals rather than issues, the impact can extend far beyond the original post. Rumours spread. Hostility grows. Assumptions are made. People begin taking sides based on partial information rather than evidence. CPN has come to an end but the hate is neverending: Happy to announce that the false Community Protection Notice issued against me has now officially come to an end - after having to do a SAR request for the information and end dates. This notice was pushed by: • Amy Turner (Sisters of Support) – who repeatedly harassed my inbox and coerced members of her support group into lying to the police about me, after bullying me out of the group and breaking a verbal agreement to remain impartial between them, the police, and myself. • Anthony Beddard (All Disabilities Matter | Cllr) – who prioritised promotions over disabled rights, publicly thanked someone who had been abusive to me, and then lied to the police. He is now a councillor at Great Aycliffe Town Council. • Paul Howarth (Newton Press / Ayclive) – who caused the entire ordeal after being verbally abusive to my son and me over the phone because he refused to represent me fairly, and then refused to apologise. I keep reading posts online about a gentleman I encountered and it appears that I am not an isolated incident. I Stand Against Bullying, Corruption, and the Silencing of Disabled Voices In my personal and lived experience, Anthony Beddard has demonstrated a severe lack of integrity and accountability. I am currently involved with the Crime Commissioner regarding how I, a disabled woman, was ostracised and mistreated by individuals in power—including Anthony Beddard—who chose to side with abusive behaviour rather than support or protect me. When I sought an apology for the unacceptable telephone manner I experienced from Paul Howarth, I was instead met with hostility, false accusations, and ultimately blacklisted from Aycliffe Radio. I was denied the lift Anthony had originally offered to support my appearance—an action that, to me, was a clear signal of bias and exclusion. Don’t you just love social media?! Apparently, asking someone to quote an article where they claim it mentioned fraud (which I couldn’t see, by the way) is now classed as “inviting abuse” and “being a bully.” Then, when you calmly point out their poor choice of words—and even explain you’re in chronic pain mode—they drag their disabled partner into it to compare and insult you. #Ableism, anyone? So you call that out… and suddenly they’re threatening to share a cherry-picked snippet of the comments (totally out of context, of course) to whip up a hate campaign. Meanwhile, they try bullying you on your own page, claim you messaged them and their husband (who?! I’ve not even been on her profile to see who he is!), and lie to save face—all because you held a mirror up to their abusive behaviour. Still no quote about the fraud though, is there? Just attacks. There are two types of people in the world defined as 'evil':  1: Those who do evil things. and 2: Those that ALLOW evil things to happen. IF at the time YOU DO have a choice, choose to use your voice! I did a detailed presentation on bullying for my Key skills level 3 communications, because its an important topic and all I needed to do was help one person to have helped! I dedicated most of my dinner times at shcool to people who needed to talk about their problems and i was professionally trained as a counsellor and i still use these abilities today with friends and on the SPD charity i have started up.
