I officially quit today:

Image
I will only apply for jobs now via DurhamEnable.  Three years of wasting my time is enough. I am no longer wasting my precious time on forms that will lead to nothing because society is the problem, not the disabled. I will focus on my own business and that's that! My heart goes out to all disabled people that have to deal with years of this rejection, that don't disclose their disabilities so they get to the next stage only to not be taken further once they do. For EE I corrected and helped an actual paid employee when I shadowed them, I am exhausted.  I am done. Today I officially quit wasting my time with jobs unless they're linked to disability friendly organisations. Sarah Wingfield. You have to become your own boss:

Image
All you ever read when you're disabled and seeking paid employment...get used to it, and oh if you're autistic and have RSD, enjoy it even more!!! Three years of this so far and more to come, I need to get driving so I can be MY OWN BOSS and get my business back up and running and do a refresher in photography cause there is NO WAY anyone will hire me. Your skills means nothing when you're mobility impaired.  Your studies and sacrifices worthless. I need to stop being professional and honest and stop disclosing I have a disability to people hiring, because when I don't disclose it I get to the next stage sometimes, and then I'm not taken further once they find out. Thank you universe. I am worthless because that's how employers see me. I am exhausted from trying when no one else will. Sarah Wingfield. Are the govt going to pay employers?

Image
Are the government prepared to pay employers to employ disabled people then? Cause without incentive we won't get hired! Been looking for a paid job for three years and apply to over 120 a month and I've been with three organisations that help people into work and been to a reverse job fair and more! I have so many new qualifications cause I work for charities unpaid while I wait for paid work because I have to find £190 a month to cover my pain management medication costs cause nothing on the NHS helps and I've managed to reverse the kidney and liver damage over a decade of opioids caused me and never helped me. Just helped me suffer and be less of a burden on the NHS system.  Also whose gonna cover the hospital and social care costs that these cuts are going to inflate and incrue? We're supposed to be saving money not costing the country more with homelessness, mental health, chronic pain and the disabled suffering because they're no longer going to be able to aff...

The cuts will cost us BILLIONS elsewhere:

Image
Let's cost ourselves BILLIONS in hospital care and social care instead because of these cuts: https://www.theguardian.com/society/2025/mar/17/keir-starmer-to-unveil-drastic-disability-benefit-cuts-despite-opposition As the government haven't taken into account they are condoning harm on the most vulnerable of society and those who didn't choose to be disabled. These cuts will in fact cost us more when they come into affect as many disabled and vulnerable are forced into poverty. With this hospitals and social care will have to try and make up for the loss, costing the country billions when we were supposed to be trying to save. We can't save by taking from those with nothing, maybe start thinking about cuts from the top. This may be controversial to those easily influenced by the propaganda and claims it's not sustainable but in reality what's not sustainable is sacrificing the needs the disabled have to cover costs of the wants of those in power. I'm not s...

Still surprised people condone harm:

Image
Why are the ones who claim to support and study and work in mental health always the most abusive, judgemental and sadistic?  How we were ever friends I don't know but ew and unfriended. My work matters.  Educate yourself better. Period. We need to support and help the vulnerable not penalise them and make things worse! Best to avoid anyone who thinks the PIP reform will be a good thing. I'm lucky I'm not homeless yet ... But could be shortly... I have to fund private pain management and more. Disability isn't cheap it's expensive and I'm heartbroken that people in these industries can't see the harm they're causing and advocating for. I definitely don't want to be counselled by anyone who condones harm. I won't share the screenshots on my blog because I'm not big on hate campaigns and people like this lady who has psychiatry papers published will always show her true colours to people around her eventually. I simply can't support anyone ...

Movie prep:

IMDb.me/SarahWingfield 🎥❤️✨  I am so excited to announce that I play Lucy in the movie 'Reloaded 3' (learning lines and prep as filming it this month for George Tounas) and Laura Whitmore (murder victim in Mike Davies movie 'The Veil of Silence') which will be filmed next year!  I'm proud to announce I'm also an assistant producer of 'The Veil of Silence' and I am super excited to be killed by David J. Paul who plays Thomas Greene! Keep an eye out for these movies coming to your screen soon! 'Reloaded 3' will be available on Amazon prime, Tubi and Apple TV + Reloaded movies  With the difficulties thrown at me as of late I'm so happy to have these opportunities to focus on and keep moving forward towards my goals. I also want to inspire other disabled actresses and producers to chase their dreams, being disabled changes everything and I just want to show others that reaching your dreams is still possible and want to inspire others to see the...

Email the MP:

Image
Email the MP now! Dear Mr Strickland, As a constituent in Newton Aycliffe and Spennymoor, I’m deeply concerned by reports of proposed changes to disability benefits, particularly those that would affect Personal Independence Payment (PIP) and the Limited Capability for Work and Work-Related Activity (LCWRA) group.  These changes could have a devastating impact on disabled people, pushing many into financial hardship. I urge you to speak out against these cuts. I am a disabled woman whose a mother to a disabled child as well as an independent disability advocate. Disabled people with complex needs often face significant barriers to work and they should get the support they need to overcome these barriers. But PIP is unrelated to work, so making it harder to access does nothing to improve people's path to work. And even if it did, employment is not a realistic prospect for every disabled person. No one should be forced to enter work or look for work at the expense of their health. Re...

Stay safe:

Image
I've encountered plenty people with a 'hero complex' or a 'saint complex' - "but I'm a NICE person" where their actions don't align with their words and who have been all of these types in ONE person. It's not you. Stay safe and avoid toxic types. ~Recognising Manipulative Behaviour in Helping Professions:~ The majority of people working in caring professions—such as charities, healthcare, counselling, and social services—are compassionate and genuinely want to help others. However, as with any profession, these spaces can also attract individuals who seek validation, control, or power under the guise of altruism. Some people with a "hero complex" or "saviour mentality" may struggle with setting boundaries, crave recognition, or become defensive when their actions are questioned. In more extreme cases, they may manipulate others, refuse to acknowledge the harm they cause, or use their position to control narratives and silen...

The Sun attacks the disabled:

Image
And you ALL BELIEVE the media... It's got to be right RIGHT? Cut your strings puppets and start thinking about the AGENDA behind RAGEBAIT like this: Ragebait for the masses and brainless to fuel more hate and segregation for the disabled. Are you going to HATE us now or are you going TO FIGHT THE WORLD WITH US? THE cuts needs to start in parliament not the vulnerable! Then whoever stays have the pure agendas for the country. Enough is enough now! (P.s. wonder why my social media is constantly censored and glitching? Maybe it's because I am a truth teller in a world set on corruption!) I already boycott the SUN everywhere because they are literally BS'ers and scaremongerers and if it was America they'd have been sued multiple times by now for misinformation and enciting HATE. #hatethedisabled #mediadictate #puppets #brainwashing #boycottmedia #ragebait #ukfight #government #mediacorruption #thesun

Movie - A Veil of Silence:

Image
I am so excited to be a part of Mike Davies New movie 'The Veil of Silence' where I have the pleasure of playing a murder victim! Keep an eye out for me in this! This movie features a main character called Thomas Greene, a quiet hospital worker, who hides a deadly obsession.  Fascinated by life and death, he hunts, sedates, and dissects victims in secret.  His chilling precision keeps him undetected until one escapes.  Erica survives, triggering his downfall. Arrested and imprisoned, Thomas faces justice, but death doesn't end his darkness. A supernatural force lingers, haunting those connected to him. The past refuses to stay buried, and silence conceals horrors waiting to resurface. As the veil lifts, fear spreads. The Veil of Silence is a psychological thriller where murder, obsession, and the unknown intertwine in terrifying ways. A must watch when released! Filming starts next year and I am so proud to be a part of the team! Sarah Wingfield  IMDb.me/Sara...

Movies - Reloaded 3:

Image
I'm so excited to film for this, this month! I play Lucy and I know I'm just a snippet of four lines but I never thought I'd be acting again after my life took a drastic turn in 2009. I'm back and I'm ready to attack! IMDb.me/SarahWingfield 🎬  More to come from this lil' lady as I build my movie portfolio and I will be able to invest in new productions once I get paid work which I won't quit seeking. I work hard, I sacrifice hard, I fight my body and I want to inspire other disabled people to go after their dreams. For those that try and sabotage me, I'm flattered you see my worth but I'm unstoppable baby so quit while you're ahead cause I'm a professional when it comes to creating silver linings out of thin air and turning negative experiences into positives and into the power to improve life and help others! You haters just need a life of your own or a hobby, cause I won't quit. Not for you, not for no one and I do whatever it takes t...

POTS and EDS- my conditions:

Image
These are the conditions I have as well as others and how they impact my life: The Link Between POTS & EDS: What You Need to Know If you have Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS) or suspect you might, you may have also experienced symptoms of POTS (Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome)—but why are these conditions so often connected? What is POTS? POTS is a form of dysautonomia, a condition that affects the autonomic nervous system, which controls involuntary bodily functions like heart rate, blood pressure, and digestion. People with POTS experience an abnormal increase in heart rate (30+ BPM in adults, 40+ BPM in teens) upon standing, often leading to dizziness, fainting, fatigue, and brain fog. What is EDS? EDS is a group of connective tissue disorders that cause joint hypermobility, fragile skin, and issues with blood vessels and organs. hEDS (Hypermobile EDS) is the most common type and has a strong association with POTS. How Are POTS & EDS Connected? 🔹 Weak Connective Tissu...

Govt plans to make millions of Disabled people homeless:

Image
The attack on the disabled by the UK government is not over. Fxcking bxstxrds target PIP and UC and do nothing to help people, welcome to homelessness for millions of disabled people thanks to those who haven't got a clue in power. Most employers won't employ disabled people and those that can't work can't afford to lose more money when most of us have to cover costs of private pain management cause the NHS don't support us. Crazy reality with a government that is ruining people's lives I mean wtaf! Thank you for trying to make me homeless and I hope this doesn't end up happening! I can't believe Rachel Reeves would even consider this, it shows how out of touch government is with the reality for disabled people. The universe has plans for me:

Image
I have restrictions on my Facebook account right now that are not showing up in my dashboard information. So frustrating when you're trying to seek a job as a disabled woman. It's preventing me from posting on job groups. I have Instagram sabotaging my music artist page again by automatically removing everything I post as 'inauthentic behaviour' which is not factual. My car got keyed again so I'm definitely being targeted again in my street even when I leave them to cause trouble between one another like they all did before I even got out of my wheelchair and home; and before they chose to make me a target.  I stay in my own lane away from them all. Let them do what they want. Be loud, be abusive, whatever, as long as they don't involve me and it's never good enough so I had to call the police again about my property damage. Cowardly behaviour indeed. I think the universe is telling me my fate does not lie with staying in Newton Aycliffe and I need to spread...

Sunshine and Seasides:

Image
My wonderful partner Peter and I, went to an arcade yesterday in Redcar and I love the images Peter captured of me! It was wonderful to seize the day of sunshine, as it's been so scarce, and so we decided to make the best of the warm and rare British sunny weather. We visited an ice cream place called Gabrielle's to which I enjoyed a lemon top sundae and Peter enjoyed a Pistachio sundae and we visited a park on the way home. It was nice to sit and watch the sea for a while. Beautiful and calming. I've come so far since being housebound/bedbound and I'm finally starting to feel like I can start and enjoy life more. I don't have a lot of 'easy' days so I'm super grateful when the warmer weather brings with it, ease of movement and a bit of a break from an increase in pain. Although I still need to pace myself and rest, I am looking forward to making more amazing and happy memories now that the weather is warming up! It's so crazy what a few years can...

Disability Confident CLAIMS are often false:

Image
Fake disability confident employers are an issue. They claim one thing but don't action the change and accessibility actually required! We need to action more positive change. Tell employers about DurhamEnable NOW! My job opportunity just got AXED by AXA despite them saying yesterday they were going ahead with it. Disabled people HAVE SKILLS TOO! STOP IGNORING US! DurhamEnable and all it takes is sunshine:

Image
My partner Peter as my assistant. My assistant for the day Peter, and I, did really well with the DurhamEnable reverse job fair and I have three potential opportunities all different things, podcast, acting and a disability positive employment position.  Overall I'm so glad I did this today and it gave people like myself a chance to explain things from the perspective of those they're hiring. How hard we work, how dedicated we are and how difficult it is to break down disability stigma to get paid employment. I hope all the businesses attending consider working with DurhamEnable and together, build a more accessible and disabled confident employment base.  A huge thank you to DurhamEnable for all the hard work they do to help disabled people into permanent employment. Today's event was exceptional and educational for all. The sun was shining a bit later today, for the first time in a long time, and I sat outside on the grass for a bit.  Life has a weird habit of drawing y...
