The positive side of Smear Campaigns:

Image
The Positive Side of Smear Campaigns: As I continue to deal with unwanted attention, rumours and people forming opinions without knowing the full story, I've realised there is one positive outcome. Smear campaigns reveal people. Not me. Them. I've watched some people rush to judgement, repeat gossip and ignore evidence. I've seen individuals excuse threats, harassment and harmful behaviour because it suited their narrative. But I've also seen the opposite . I've seen kindness. I've seen loyalty. I've seen people check in on me, ask questions, offer support and refuse to join the mob mentality. The people who stayed, listened and showed compassion are the people worth keeping. A smear campaign doesn't cost you your people. It reveals who your people are. And for that, I'm grateful. ❤️✨ Sarah Wingfield ❤️  Actor • Author • Advocate  KawaiiDollDecora.uk #SarahWingfield #Advocacy #AutisticAdult #AuDHD #DisabilityAdvocate #TruthMatters #ChooseKindness #...

Abuse Update:

Image
Abuse Update: People continue to send me screenshots of a man I have blocked, along with posts and comments from those supporting or participating in the same behaviour, whom I have also blocked. I understand that not everyone will agree with me, my decisions, or the work I do, and that's absolutely okay. However, there is a difference between constructive criticism and personal attacks. Healthy communities thrive on discussion, accountability, and respectful disagreement. They do not benefit from insults, rumours, intimidation, harassment, stalking, or attempts to provoke conflict. I have seen claims suggesting that certain individuals were blocked simply for disagreeing with me. I hold evidence that demonstrates a different sequence of events. The individuals concerned were blocked following behaviour that I considered abusive, hostile, or repeatedly targeted towards me. The decision was based on conduct and boundaries, not on disagreement or differences of opinion. Evidence matt...

What To Do When You're the Target of a Hate Campaign:

Image
What To Do When You're the Target of a Hate Campaign By Sarah Wingfield. Most people imagine hate campaigns as something that happens to celebrities, politicians, or people in the public eye. The reality is that they can happen to anyone. A volunteer. An advocate. A business owner. A community organiser. A disabled person speaking up. Someone who simply challenged harmful behaviour and refused to back down. Over the years, I've experienced organised hostility, online pile-ons, false allegations, misinformation, character attacks, stalking behaviours, harassment, and attempts to isolate me from communities I cared about. What I've learned is that hate campaigns often follow recognisable patterns. Understanding those patterns can help people protect themselves and avoid becoming part of the problem. What Is a Hate Campaign? A hate campaign is a sustained effort to damage someone's reputation, credibility, relationships, opportunities, or wellbeing. Sometimes it is highly ...

Polite Notice: Administration of Community Spaces:

Image
Polite Notice: As someone who moderates community spaces, I wanted to take a moment to clarify the standards I try to uphold and the values that guide my decisions. Communities work best when people feel safe to participate, share their views, ask questions, and engage in discussion without fear of being attacked, ridiculed, or harassed. I welcome: ✅ Respectful disagreement ✅ Healthy debate ✅ Different political viewpoints ✅ Constructive criticism ✅ Accountability ✅ Safeguarding ✅ Community safety ✅ Open discussion ✅ Treating people with dignity, even when we disagree What I do not support is: ❌ Personal insults and name-calling ❌ Attacks on someone's character, intelligence, appearance, disability, or mental health ❌ False allegations presented as fact without evidence ❌ Bullying, harassment, intimidation, or targeted hostility ❌ Encouraging or justifying abusive behaviour towards others ❌ Attempts to divide communities by creating "us versus them" mentalities ❌ Mocking ...

When “Accountability” Becomes Abuse - My Experience With Online Harassment Campaigns:

Image
When “Accountability” Becomes Abuse - My Experience With Online Harassment Campaigns: Over the past few days I’ve experienced what I genuinely believe to be targeted online abuse and coordinated harassment. People often think abuse only counts when it is physical, but abuse can also be psychological, social, reputational, emotional, and digital. What I have experienced includes: - Public humiliation and mass pile-ons. - False allegations being repeated as fact without evidence. - Encouragement of mass-reporting campaigns against my pages and work. - Attempts to isolate me socially and professionally by tagging organisations and community spaces I support. - Character assassination and reputational harm. - Gaslighting and repeated attempts to invalidate my lived experiences. - Mockery of my trauma responses and disability. - Ableist language and attacks against me for using accessibility tools like AI. - Attempts to portray me as mentally unstable for defending myself. - Threats involvi...

Chances:

Image
We give people more chances than they need, and more explanations than they deserve - because our intention is resolution. The problem is, not everyone shares that intention. Some people will take your words, twist them, and repurpose them into something they can use to justify their behaviour.  Not because they misunderstood you - but because their goal was never understanding.  It was harm. Once you’ve seen it, you can’t unsee it. Look at the patterns:  – Who rallies others instead of resolving things directly. – Who hides public attacks behind the word “accountability”. – Who thrives in group pile-ons and audience validation. That’s not growth. That’s performance. And the moment they realise you see them clearly? That’s when it escalates. The truth is, I gave chances. I communicated. I clarified. And now I’m choosing distance - not because I don’t care, but because I care enough about my peace not to stay around energy like that. For those of us with CPTSD, this hits d...

What's getting under my skin:

Image
What's getting under my skin: I’m getting genuinely tired of people speaking on me without taking even two minutes to fact check anything they’re saying. It’s not even about disagreement — it’s the confidence people have to be wrong while being loud about it. That’s the part that grates. I’ve built what I’ve built through consistency, through effort, through pushing myself even on days where my body doesn’t want to cooperate. Chronic pain doesn’t pause the work — it just makes it harder. And I still show up. 👊🏻✨ So when people come into my space trying to question, minimise, or discredit that without doing basic research… it’s not curiosity, it’s carelessness at best — and disrespect at worst. I already know I don’t fit neatly into this world. I’m not supposed to. I didn’t build my life to be digestible for people who don’t take the time to understand it. If I’m not for you, that’s completely fine. Not everything is for everyone, and not everyone has good taste. 💋 But what you w...

CPN comes to an end but the hate is neverending:

Image
CPN has come to an end but the hate is neverending: Happy to announce that the false Community Protection Notice issued against me has now officially come to an end - after having to do a SAR request for the information and end dates. This notice was pushed by: • Amy Turner (Sisters of Support) – who repeatedly harassed my inbox and coerced members of her support group into lying to the police about me, after bullying me out of the group and breaking a verbal agreement to remain impartial between them, the police, and myself. • Anthony Beddard (All Disabilities Matter | Cllr) – who prioritised promotions over disabled rights, publicly thanked someone who had been abusive to me, and then lied to the police. He is now a councillor at Great Aycliffe Town Council. • Paul Howarth (Newton Press / Ayclive) – who caused the entire ordeal after being verbally abusive to my son and me over the phone because he refused to represent me fairly, and then refused to apologise. He continued this beh...

They Made Me Their Hobby – And I Survived Anyway

Image
They Made Me Their Hobby – And I Survived Anyway I was always one of the “weird ones”, apparently. The strange girl, the alt kid, the one people didn’t quite understand but somehow couldn’t leave alone. I didn’t realise it at the time, but some people only know how to process difference by attacking it. And I was different. I didn’t shrink. I didn’t blend in. I existed — loudly, imperfectly, honestly. And that was apparently enough to make me a target. Back in the Bish Vegas days, when the goth scene had its own universe, I had hate tracks written about me. Actual songs. Imagine being a teenage girl with an alias — angelwings13 — and hearing that grown lads in the alt scene had used their “creativity” to slate you. I was shocked. My friends had to calm me down because I genuinely couldn’t believe that I was the muse for their bitterness. Of all the things they could write about, they chose a teenage girl just trying to survive. Their lyrics were vile — accusing me of STDs even though I...
