My Creepy Cafe Podcast:

Image
My Creepy Cafe Announcement: It is with a heavy heart that I’ve made the decision to step away from My Creepy Café Show and my involvement with the podcast and Peter King going forward. I’m grateful for the time, creativity and conversations that have gone into the project, and I genuinely wish everyone involved the very best with whatever direction they choose to take it. For me, this decision comes down to professional differences in how projects are developed, organised and brought forward publicly. I believe strongly in having a clear structure, completed groundwork and realistic plans in place before promoting, casting or committing people to a project. At this stage, I feel my own professional approach and priorities are moving in a different direction. I’m also focusing more of my time and energy on my own writing, film, magazine and creative commitments, so stepping away feels like the right and responsible decision. There is no ill will from me, and I hope the project continue...

Celebrating how far I've come:

Image
Celebrating how far I've come: I’ve come such a long way. I know success is defined differently depending on who you ask, but since rebuilding my mobility and getting out of my wheelchair, I’ve had so many achievements to celebrate. ❤️ I’ve been featured in publications and media, worked as an actor, producer and filmmaker, appeared in movies and independent film projects, written blogs and books, created and released music, designed artwork and products, modelled, performed, spoken publicly and continued developing my own creative projects. Alongside that, I’ve spent years advocating for disabled people, survivors and vulnerable members of our communities. I’ve supported individuals through difficult situations, completed safeguarding and advocacy training, volunteered with charities and community organisations, founded support spaces, helped manage large online communities, created Aycliffe Alternative Magazine and used my platforms to raise awareness, celebrate local talent and ...

Family Time:

Image
Family Time: I had a wonderful day yesterday with my son, Brandon. ❤️ He had such a difficult start in life and has overcome so many obstacles, including leukaemia. The young man he has become inspires me every day. He is intelligent, creative and endlessly fascinating, and I will always be incredibly proud to be his mam. Yesterday, he introduced us to the work of Kane Pixels and explained how he developed his interpretation of The Backrooms. We watched some of Kane’s earlier footage while Brandon enthusiastically talked us through the story, ideas and filmmaking behind it. Brandon loves everything connected to creepypasta, horror and mysterious online worlds, and I love seeing how passionate and knowledgeable he becomes when discussing the things that interest him. I had missed him and my parents so much. I have been exceptionally busy and working incredibly hard behind the scenes, so this much-needed family catch-up meant the world to me. We also enjoyed a lovely meal together at The...

The Briefcase:

Image
The Briefcase: Every person working on a script should have a lockable briefcase! 🎬🕵🏻‍♀️ Not only does it make you feel like you're some kind of secret agent (which I'm absolutely embracing 😂), but it's also an amazing way to keep your work organised and take it wherever you go. Now I just need a few power suits to complete the look! 😆 Joking aside, this has been perfect for the movie script breakdown I'm currently working on. Everything has its place, and because it expands, there's plenty of room to add more documents as the project grows. As an autistic person, staying organised really helps me. Having everything together means I can easily pick up where I left off without feeling overwhelmed, which makes such a difference when working on larger creative projects. A huge thank you to my Dad for thinking of me and giving me this brilliant briefcase. 🥹❤️ I'm genuinely so grateful. It's going to take a little while to finish the script breakdown, but I...

Advocacy with force at High Force:

Image
Advocacy with force at High Force: Today we visited High Force, and while the scenery was absolutely breathtaking, the experience was also a reminder of the barriers disabled people can still face. Living with chronic pain, EDhS and POTS means I have to plan everything carefully. I brought a foldable chair so I could rest safely without relying on there being seating available. Instead of being asked about my accessibility needs, I felt I was spoken to abruptly before I had the chance to explain why I had it. The interaction left me feeling anxious and, for a while, like I was the problem. The important part, though, is that I advocated for myself. I stayed calm, explained my needs, acknowledged that staff have rules to follow, and respectfully said I didn't appreciate the way I was being spoken to. That might not sound like much to some people, but for someone who has experienced anxiety and trauma around conflict, it represents huge personal growth. Disabled people aren't ask...

The Truth about Manifesting:

Image
The Truth about Manifesting: Manifestation isn't magic on its own. ✨ Dreaming is important. Believing in yourself matters. Visualising your future can help keep you focused. But none of it replaces the late nights, the setbacks, the sacrifices, the persistence, and the work. Every milestone I've reached has come from showing up, even on the days I wanted to give up. Manifest the vision. Do the work. Repeat, as needed. 💪🏻✨ Sarah Wingfield ✨💖 KawaiiDollDecora.uk #Kawaii #KawaiiAesthetic #Decora #PastelGoth #DreamBig #Manifestation #Mindset #Motivation #WorkHard #CreativeLife #DigitalArt #BubbleFont #PinkAesthetic #CuteArt #KawaiiDollDecora #KDoll #Artist #WomenWhoCreate #PositiveMindset #BelieveInYourself Alt text: A kawaii pastel artwork featuring fluffy pink candy clouds, hanging stars, sparkles, and sweets in soft shades of pink, lavender, and cream. Today should be a day of celebration.

Image
Today should be a day of celebration.  After years of hard work, consistency, determination, and refusing to give up, my stickers finally arrived for my autograph packages. ❤️ They represent two parts of my life that I have poured my heart into: creativity and advocacy. They represent the people I've supported, the voices I've amplified, the causes I've stood up for, and the dreams I've continued to chase even when life made things difficult. But if I'm honest, this past week has been relentless. I think people sometimes forget that behind every profile, page, group, blog, or business is a human being. It's difficult to fully celebrate something you've been excited about when you're simultaneously navigating health battles, recovering from targeted behaviour, dealing with family wounds, and preparing for court proceedings connected to past abuse. Today, when these arrived, I expected to feel excited. Instead, I mostly felt tired. And that's okay. Bec...

Monetisation Clarification:

Image
Those angry about my "monetisation" genuinely make me laugh. I've been accused of taking over groups for profit, exploiting communities, using advocacy for money, and all sorts of wild conspiracy theories. Meanwhile, here's the reality. My Facebook earnings for June currently stand at $0.73. That's right. Seventy-three cents. So while I'm running community groups, disability advocacy projects, a website, a community magazine, helping people with support and signposting, and often working at cost or entirely for free, apparently I'm secretly building a financial empire worth less than the price of a packet of crisps. Fact-checking matters. If you're going to accuse someone of profiting from community work, at least make sure the evidence supports the claim first. Stay curious. Stay informed. Stay kind. 💜 Sarah Wingfield  KawaiiDollDecora.uk Alt Text: Screenshot of a Facebook Professional Dashboard on the Monetisation tab. The screen shows "Approxi...

You Don’t Get to Discredit What You Didn’t Build:

Image
Honestly? I get why this hit a nerve for me, the sacrifices I make, the pain I endure... I've worked for what I've built — while managing chronic pain, advocacy, multiple creative projects — and someone reducing that down to “is it even real?” is going to feel dismissive, even if they try to frame it as a “genuine question.” That said… my instinct to block, protect my space, and move on is actually the healthiest move here. Not every comment deserves my energy — especially when I've already provided proof (IMDb, my work, my portfolio). People won't support your hard work but will invade your lane to question the work, the journey, the achievements — especially when they haven’t taken the time to understand any of it. I act. I produce. I create. I build — consistently, independently, and often while managing chronic pain that most people couldn’t even comprehend. 👊🏻✨ So when someone tries to reduce that to “is this even real?” — it doesn’t hit insecurity, it highlights...

When Boundaries Expose the Truth About Freelance Work:

Image
When Boundaries Expose the Truth About Freelance Work There’s a pattern in freelancing that people don’t like to admit exists. Everything starts off clean—clear agreement, defined work, mutual understanding. You show up professionally, you deliver what was asked, and because you take pride in what you do, you often give more than the bare minimum. And then it shifts. The work expands, but the agreement doesn’t. What was agreed becomes stretched into “just one more thing,” then another, then another—until you’re no longer delivering a project, you’re absorbing expectations that were never part of the deal. Not formally. Not financially. Just quietly added, as if your time is flexible but your boundaries aren’t supposed to be. And that’s the part people don’t say out loud: some don’t see freelancers as professionals with structure—they see them as people they can keep pulling from. Until you stop them. Because the moment you reinforce the original agreement, the moment you say, this fall...

Keep heading towards goals/Livin article:

“They caught me on a pain flare day and still had to write an article about me anyway 😂💅 Because that’s the reality — disabled creators don’t wait for perfect days… we build through the hard ones. Grateful for the support, the growth, and everything I’m still creating even on my worst days. This is what resilience actually looks like. 💖✨ Still on my journey to becoming a sole trader — and I’m not stopping anytime soon. Hard work leads to results:

Image
Hard work leads to results: People only see the results of your hard work… they don’t see the sacrifices, the heartache, the late nights, the studying, the exhaustion it takes to get there. Someone said I’m successful - and that’s beautiful in its own way. Because in terms of love, my spirit tribe, connection, support, and friendships… yes, I am successful. 🤍 But business-wise? I’m not there yet, and that’s okay. 🫶🏻 What people are starting to see now is just the beginning of my journey. I still have mountains to climb. To me, success means living comfortably and creating real, positive change, helping others while I rise. I’ve got a long way to go… but I’m going. 💅🏻✨ And to those who uplift me, see me, and believe in me, from my heart, Thank you. Truly. I’m here, and I’m doing this… because you believed in me when I didn’t. Love to you all 🤍 Let's keep going?! ❤️ Sarah Wingfield  KawaiiDollDecora.uk #hardwork #sacrifices #advocacy #success #connection #community #support #mo...

Behind the Pink Pages:

Image
Behind the Pink Pages ✨ Creating, juggling, and keeping the magic alive Some days look a little quieter on the outside. A pen. A pink notebook. A pause. But behind the scenes? There’s a lot happening. Right now I’m deep in production mode for Aycliffe Alternative Magazine — pulling articles together, coordinating contributors, problem-solving, editing, designing, and making sure everything still reflects the values it was built on: community, accessibility, honesty, and inclusion. At the same time, I’m also working on a feature film project — which has unexpectedly become another full-time mental load. Managing creative direction, logistics, people, boundaries, and decision-making takes a different kind of energy. It’s exciting, but it’s also intense, especially when you care deeply about doing things properly and ethically. So this moment — pen in hand, scribbling ideas into a very pink Hello Kitty notebook — is less “cute aesthetic” and more survival strategy. Creativity doesn’...

Driving test prep:

Image
I can't believe I actually know some stuff about manual cars too lmao 🤣 you surprise yourself some days... Have I earned a break yet?! Nearly 7/7goals hit on my app! 🙌🏻✨ Bearing in mind this is only the hours spent on the practical driving section and not the theory part! Thankful to have passed that part! So far - so good. ✨ Bad pain day but breaking goals day! 🤘🏻 Rock on! Xx 💋 Xo Alt Text: Two screenshots of a driving test learning app showing progress. The first image displays a summary stating “1 Goal left to hit” with 6 out of 7 goals completed, and a circular progress graphic showing 95%. It notes 4 hours 39 minutes of learning completed and 21 days until the driving test. The second image lists goals with progress bars: “Set your official Driving Test date/time” at 100%, “Watch 95 practice video clips” at 67%, “Correctly answer all 124 quiz questions” at 100%, “Complete the Ready to Pass section” at 100%, “Complete the day of your test section” at 100%, “Complet...

Disability Advocacy Changes Lives:

Image
Disability Advocacy Changes Lives ❤️ Disability advocacy means everything to me. It isn’t just about words — it’s about action. It’s about refusing to stay quiet when people are discriminated against, ignored, or mistreated. That’s why I created and shared this graphic today. Because people still need reminding that: Disability advocacy means fighting for the rights, inclusion, and equality of people with disabilities. It is about challenging discrimination and barriers, and promoting accessibility and independence for all. That’s what I live by. That’s what I fight for. Recently, my advocacy has looked like: Delivering my Disability Awareness Speech, sparking honest conversations about accessibility, the social model of disability, and how society must change. Working as an Independent Visitor for children in care, standing alongside them so they know they have someone in their corner when the system feels overwhelming. Supporting people when they face housing gatekeeping, making sure...
