Let me be heard:

Image
Let me be heard: I’ve just been given my court hearing date to legally ensure an ex leaves me alone. It’s the morning of my practical driving test. And I sat with that for a moment… not shocked, not even angry, just tired. Because sometimes life doesn’t give you space to process things one at a time. It stacks them. Major, emotional, life-shaping moments, all at once. On one hand, I’m preparing for a court hearing — something that represents boundaries, safety, and closure. On the other, I’m preparing for a driving test — something that represents independence, growth, and moving forward. Both important. Both significant. Both happening together. And it really made me reflect on resilience, not in the idealised sense, but in the very real, human sense. Showing up when you’re in pain. Showing up when your mind is foggy. Showing up when your circumstances feel overwhelming. There’s a narrative that resilience looks like strength and composure at all times, but often it looks like continu...

When People Speak Out:

Image
When people speak out, they are doing so to seek resolution and solutions. If someone chooses to remain anonymous, that is a protective and safeguarding measure. It is actually slanderous to assume that anonymous complaints are themselves slander, when the clear intent is to raise concerns, resolve issues, and highlight harm that needs addressing. When people ask for modern-day accountability, it is rarely achieved. Anonymity often provides essential protection for those highlighting genuine issues — especially in environments where people become so loyal to organisations or companies that they attack the complainant instead of allowing harm to be acknowledged and rectified. Feedback is necessary for progress. Speaking about a bad experience is never slander — it is a request for accountability. From personal experience, formal complaints processes can expose people to further abuse, targeting, and retaliation, while still failing to resolve the original issue. If someone chooses ...

Art drop: Unwanted Battles:

Image
We’ve all been there — trying to create positive change, make things better, or simply stay in our own lane. And yet somehow, we find ourselves forced into defending ourselves or de-escalating situations we never caused. It’s important to remember this: we do not deserve to be targets of hate campaigns, nor anyone’s verbal punching bag. This image is dedicated to everyone who has found themselves caught in the middle of a battle they never asked for. I see you. I relate. You are not alone. Formal complaint Sisters of Support:

Image
I did it... I’ve formally raised safeguarding concerns about how my personal support was handled, by submitting a complaint to Sisters of Support. I’m not expecting a response — that isn’t the point. What matters is that the failures I experienced, including breaches of verbal agreements and serious safeguarding concerns, are now on record. This was done for safety and safeguarding purposes only. Vulnerable women deserve genuine, ethical, and trauma-informed support. When people seek help, they should not be harmed further in the process. Accountability matters. Learning matters. And vulnerable women deserve better — always. When Safety Nets Disappear, So Do Lives: A Disabled Advocate’s Warning

Image
When Safety Nets Disappear, So Do Lives: A Disabled Advocate’s Warning Laughing is not a solution. It’s a temporary soundbite when what we need is action. I work as an independent disability advocate. I see people fall through cracks every day — denied vital support, ignored by systems meant to protect them, re-traumatised by institutions that prefer convenient stories to inconvenient truths. I cannot sit back and watch the safety nets that protect us all be eroded while people smile and scroll on. Disabled people are not a separate issue. We are your parents, your partners, your neighbours, your friends. Any one of us could become disabled tomorrow. When rights like access to meaningful welfare, fair assessments and legal protections are dismantled, the consequences ripple out. The assisted dying debate is part of that picture — without proper support and genuine safeguards, “choice” can become coercion. You might laugh. You might call me difficult. That’s fine. I’ll keep being loud a...

Optical Turnkey x Sarah Wingfield: Pepper Spray Petition Interview:

Image
I am more than thankful to Optical Turnkey for amplifying the voices of survivors — all of us who have lived through harm and are still standing. In this interview, you can learn why I started this petition and exactly what I hope it will achieve. After everything that’s happened, I sat back and asked myself: What CAN I do about this? And the answer was to channel my pain into purpose — to push for positive change. Because blaming survivors must become a thing of the past. No victim has ever “asked for it”. We need to come together — as a community, beyond politics, beyond division — and build the safeguarding systems people desperately need to escape , evade, and survive. Attacks are becoming more frequent. Children are being targeted . If parents had the legal right to carry pepper spray, imagine how much safer our communities could be. Imagine how adults could step in, respond, and actively protect vulnerable children and targeted individuals before harm escalates. We can no longer ...

Legalise Pepper Spray Petition:

Image
The petition is now LIVE: https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/742673 Please SHARE 🙏🏻 ❤️  Alt text:Neon-style graffiti on a dark brick wall with bold, glowing text in pink, blue, and green that reads “LEGALISE PEPPER SPRAY.” The paint has drips and splatters, giving it a spray-painted, rebellious street-art feel. Petition to: Legalise pepper spray in England. We call on the UK Government to: • Legalise and regulate pepper spray for self-defence • Restrict sales to over-18s and approved formulations only • Impose tough penalties for misuse • Provide clear guidelines on lawful self-defence More details: Every day across England, people – especially women, disabled people, and survivors of domestic abuse – are left vulnerable to harassment, assault, and violence. Reports of harassment and sexual offences on public transport have surged. People are being threatened at bus stops and in public spaces. We think domestic abuse is still at epidemic levels – and too many victims are le...

Let's talk ECHR

Image
Ok let's talk about the basic human rights protected by the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR) – rights such as the right to life, the prohibition of torture and slavery, the right to a fair trial, personal liberty, privacy, freedom of expression, and protection from discrimination. These are not abstract or optional; they are the foundations that stop a government, police or courts from abusing power. Removing or weakening the UK’s commitment to the ECHR would mean removing the legal safeguards that allow ordinary people to challenge the state if their rights are violated. That includes wrongful arrest, unlawful surveillance, or mistreatment by authorities. The ECHR is also what enables people to seek justice when domestic systems fail, such as survivors of state neglect, disabled people denied support, families affected by unlawful detention, or soldiers sent to war without proper equipment. Reform or replacement is often presented as harmless, but in practice it mea...

Self Defence England Petition:

Image
I need five more supporters on this campaign: Could one be YOU?! 🫵🏻😊✨ #LegalisePepperSpray https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/742673/sponsors/new?token=58HvqjhNhqF8wEQyxN7G Legalise Pepper Spray for Self-Defence in England Why this matters: Every day across England, people – especially women, disabled people, and survivors of domestic abuse – are left vulnerable to harassment, assault, and violence. Reports of harassment and sexual offences on public transport have surged. People are being threatened at bus stops and in public spaces. Domestic abuse is still at epidemic levels – and too many victims are left defenceless while waiting for help. Police response times can stretch into hours, leaving victims exposed and unprotected. Right now, the law treats pepper spray as if it were a firearm. That means ordinary people have no legal way to carry even the most basic tool of self-defence. What we’re asking for: We call on the UK Government to: ✅ Legalise and regulate pepper spray...
