Family Time: I had a wonderful day yesterday with my son, Brandon. ❤️ He had such a difficult start in life and has overcome so many obstacles, including leukaemia. The young man he has become inspires me every day. He is intelligent, creative and endlessly fascinating, and I will always be incredibly proud to be his mam. Yesterday, he introduced us to the work of Kane Pixels and explained how he developed his interpretation of The Backrooms. We watched some of Kane’s earlier footage while Brandon enthusiastically talked us through the story, ideas and filmmaking behind it. Brandon loves everything connected to creepypasta, horror and mysterious online worlds, and I love seeing how passionate and knowledgeable he becomes when discussing the things that interest him. I had missed him and my parents so much. I have been exceptionally busy and working incredibly hard behind the scenes, so this much-needed family catch-up meant the world to me. We also enjoyed a lovely meal together at The...

The Daisy:

Image
A daisy I picked today unexpectedly took me straight back to a moment in the past. My son was about 2½ years old, wearing his little Kermit backpack. He stopped playing football with his dad to very "secretly" (and very obviously!) bring a daisy over to his mam. At the time, I had pink hair and was using my wheelchair. What I didn't know then was that this would be our last ordinary day before the hospital appointments started and before his cancer diagnosis changed our lives. Today, holding this daisy, I could feel the sunshine again. The wind. I could see him in his little blue top with his short hair, proudly handing me a flower and telling me he loved me. He's in remission now, healthy, happy, and somehow taller than me. But for a moment today, I got to step back into that memory and hold it again. Some flowers are just flowers. Others are time machines. 🌼💛 Sarah Wingfield  KawaiiDollDecora.uk #ChildhoodMemories #CancerSurvivor #Remission #MotherAndSon #DaisyMe...

Our miracle son, cancer, disability, SPD, Love and Family..

Help us someone... Some one please help me, as i am suffocating from the system we have in place, a system in which is breaking me as a person as i am already broken as a mother as my son has cancer, this is such an emotional suffocation of hurt for my son and the wish i could change places with him, the hope, our miracle that is our son, can survive and the maliciousness of humankind that has shown its ugly head at a time our family should be supported, not attacked, could be somehow hidden from our son, so we can protect him from it, but it is him that suffers with us. We should not be investigated or have a child protection conference for a child that is already protected by my husband and i, and his grandparents. I would DIE for my son, i would take a knife, a bullet, anything for my son to be able to live, even if for only a second longer than god has planned, because my son IS my life. He IS our life, and they are all asking us to forget it is happening, put it in the back...
