High Force Waterfall — 11th July 2026, 14:20hrs.

I am now releasing the footage from my visit to High Force Waterfall on 11th July 2026.

The private video link sent directly to High Force has already been viewed 12 times, so they have had ample opportunity to see and consider the footage for themselves.

I raised my concerns because what happened affected me in real life as a disabled visitor. I expected those concerns to be taken seriously, investigated fairly and handled with compassion.

Instead, I was left feeling as though my account was being questioned and my lived experience dismissed.

Statements were apparently relied upon to suggest that my description of events was inaccurate, yet when I asked to see appropriately redacted copies of those statements, I received no meaningful response. Since challenging the way my complaint was handled, I have seemingly been ghosted.

That silence matters.

Disabled people are already accused far too often of exaggerating, inventing or misrepresenting their disabilities and experiences. I face that stigma regularly. When an organisation responds to an accessibility complaint in a way that appears to undermine the disabled person reporting it—without offering proper transparency—it reinforces that same harmful culture.

An apology eventually came, but by then the damage had already been done. It felt too little, too late after I had been left feeling that my credibility, advocacy and personal account did not matter.

This footage captures me speaking at High Force Waterfall at 14:20hrs on 11th July 2026. I am releasing it because people deserve to understand why accessibility, respectful complaint handling, transparency and genuine accountability are so important.

This is not about attacking anyone. It is about refusing to be silenced when something needs to change.

Disabled visitors should not have to fight to be believed.

We should not have to repeatedly prove that the barriers we experience are real.

We should not be treated as though our voices only matter when they are convenient.

I asked for transparency. I asked for the evidence being used to challenge my account. I asked to be treated like a person whose experience mattered.

The footage was sent privately. The link has been viewed 12 times.

I am still waiting.

I have told them I won't be returning because I deserve respect when I visit places and accessibility support is part of the law now.
