Suicide Awareness Certificate:
A New Step in My Advocacy Journey: Suicide Awareness Training
I’m proud to share that I’ve recently completed my Suicide Awareness Training with the Zero Suicide Alliance (ZSA). This certification means a lot to me — not just as another achievement, but as a personal commitment to understanding, compassion, and prevention.
As someone who has struggled with mental health challenges, I know how heavy the world can feel at times. There have been moments when I felt completely unseen — and that’s why I believe so deeply that suicide is preventable. Not through empty words or quick fixes, but through connection, awareness, and empathy.
The ZSA training offered practical tools to help recognise the signs when someone may be struggling, how to approach that conversation safely, and how to guide them toward the right support. It reinforced something I’ve always believed: we don’t need to be professionals to make a difference — we just need to show up with care and listen without judgement.
I took this training because I want to be part of changing the culture around mental health — from silence to understanding, from stigma to support. Too often, people are made to feel like a burden when they’re actually just in pain and need space to be heard.
If you’ve ever felt alone in your mental health journey, please know: you matter, and your story isn’t over. There are people and resources ready to help, even if it doesn’t always feel that way.
You can access the free ZSA Suicide Awareness Training here: https://www.zerosuicidealliance.com/training — it only takes around 20 minutes, but it could truly save a life.
This certification is another step in my ongoing work to create safer, more compassionate spaces for everyone — especially those who feel unseen or unheard. Let’s keep the conversation going, keep learning, and keep showing up for one another.
Together, we can make a difference. ❤️

The certificate includes the message “End the silence, end suicide” in an orange speech bubble and notes completion on 17 October 2025.
