Ramside Hall and Northern Housing Consortium:

I am excited to say that the event at Ramside Hall went spectacularly well, I attended with my best friend Corin and we had such a lovely time.

I gave a wonderful speech as to how Northern Housing Consortium has helped me spectacularly with a bursary for my start up business www.magnoliaphotography.co.uk and I happily share the quoted speech I gave below:

"As a start-up business, I initially struggled to
meet the demands of contractual work. Creating art by finger painting on my phone screen was time-consuming, imprecise, and physically challenging. This made it difficult to meet my clients' expectations for detail and speed.

Living with chronic pain and disabilities only added to these difficulties. When I learned through Livin Futures that Northern Housing Consortium was offering a start-up bursary, I immediately applied for a drawing tablet, hoping it could change the way I work.

Receiving the bursary has been truly transformative. With my new drawing tablet, I can now produce detailed sketches, design logos, and create high-quality, professional work that meets my clients' needs. This has allowed me to take on more contracts, including those with Wirestock, and has significantly improved my confidence and efficiency.

I am profoundly grateful to Northern Housing Consortium for this incredible opportunity. Their support has not only enhanced my business but also given me hope for continued growth and success. Thank you for making such a meaningful difference in my journey."

Everyone was so welcoming and we had a beautiful three course meal and some prosecco. It was a pleasure to meet other bursary finalists and hear all about what they're achieving with their own businesses.

A perfect event for networking and I'm so grateful to have been invited and involved with such a spectacular event.

They raised an amazing £9,000.00 towards future bursaries and I hope that donators could see how important a bursary scheme like this actually is to help aspiring entrepreneurs within our community.

A beautiful poem was presented from some students from Sunderland and another female and male student performed some wonderful Christmas music as well as some basketball fun. It looked like everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves and it was an event to remember.

All in all, a wonderful day, meeting new wonderful people and making fantastic memories.

With huge thanks to Livin Futures and Northern Housing Consortium for their support and invitation. It was more than a pleasure.

Thank you, as always, for reading, and I'm looking forward to new chapters and even more new experiences to come!

Here's to the future, may it bring good memories and success. 🥂
