You're a woman:

You're a woman:

You can be outspoken as long as it's exactly what those around you agree with.

You have to tolerate all the bad that comes your way and stay silent or you're labelled as the problem.

If you're showing you struggle you're a failure.

If you hide your struggles, you're faking.

You have to remain kind even to those who are abusive and if you don't, you're the problem.

If you're too pretty you're a threat, if you're too ugly you're used as a target, if you have a kind demeanor you must have ulterior motives and if you act in any way society seems unsuitable then people make sure you know about it.

You're told how to dress, what to wear, how to do your hair, what weight you're supposed to be and compared to celebs, it's just c'est la vie.

We have to navigate this paradoxically, try and not be contradictory when all those around you act hastily and judgementally, no compassion for you or for me.

If you're different be prepared to suffer endlessly.

You have to act your age and fit in all the boxes society has created, you have to be able to do everything independently and without venting or celebrating.

If you celebrate you're showing off.

If you volunteer it's for show.

If you vent you're hated on and no one cares about your progress whether fast or slow.

You try and gain a better education and try and help change the world, but people condone abuse towards you and still you can't follow the herd.

Not like them.

You stand up for what you stand for, even when others don't, it's a lonely, rocky stretch of road, but still you keep going.

Sabotage at every corner, obstacles in the shape of people, you don't deal with something in the right ways and you're suddenly deemed evil.

You're not allowed to be autistic, not allowed to sing or be loud, not allowed to wear bright colours or act childlike in any crowd, your inner child still exists though and all you seek is authenticity and joy, but when the world sees you achieving something, they won't celebrate you, and hate on you, oh boy!

Don't forget if you dare to speak up about the lack of support, you're met with hostilities no apologies and no one cares how hard you've fought.

You become distraught.

We were taught, not to be loud and outspoken, to follow suit as sheep, but real women aren't afraid to be authentic, and we won't be put to sleep.

We keep going no matter what people choose to think or the lies they choose to spread, in the hopes people won't believe the gossip and instead will use their head.

We are a woman, in a world that won't make space.

We are a woman and we're ready to take our rightful place.

It is never our fault when others choose to act with disgrace, not our fault when people run to support the bad actions as if it's a race, we defend ourselves in our own little lane, no matter how many gang up on us we won't quit and our hard works never in vain.

It's the world that's insane.

Not the women you claim.

It's the world that's insane.

So forgive us for trying hard to fight for what we believe in and try hard to remain.

We continue in spite, despite the hate and judgement.

We continue because we have our own morals and open-mindedness and have goals to see through.

With, or without, you.

The hate and unkindness is what is really inhumane.
