Birthday:
Today is my birthday.
I may not yet be where I want to be, but I am incredibly proud of how far I’ve come.
After spending over a decade bedbound and housebound, I’ve changed my life — for the better. Through it all, I’ve never stopped trying to uplift and support others. Even from a hospital bed, I made it my mission to help women across the world avoid wheelchairs from SPD/PGP (symphysis pubis dysfunction) by sharing vital physio knowledge — knowledge that saved their mobility and dignity.
I’ve become an author, blogger, producer, music artist and actress. I’ve contributed to films, performed in charity plays, and spoken up in council meetings. I fought for seating at local bus stops because I knew how important that small win could be for someone in pain. I’ve dedicated time to charities and supported organisations — even when I was mistreated, sidelined, or discarded. I’ve been relentless in my advocacy.
I would’ve loved to be a local councillor, to represent those whose voices often go unheard. But even when I’ve been blocked, I’ve kept showing up as an independent advocate — because that’s what matters most. I’ve had meetings with MPs. I’ve fought for PIP rights. I’ve challenged failing systems and demanded better. I use my voice — especially when others try to silence it.
I hold organisations to account and call out harmful behaviours, not out of bitterness, but out of a genuine hope that reflection leads to reform.
Today, I’m working with charities, influencers, advocates, and those within the system who do care — who do want change.
I am proud of the woman I am becoming. I’ve turned pain into purpose, trauma into tenacity, and injustice into action. Not all have acknowledged their wrongdoing — but so much good has still grown from those seeds.
And now, I have a support network. I have real friends. I have a loving partner and family. And I have people beside me who are just as determined to make sure no one else suffers like we have.
I’m excited for what the future holds.
Thank you to those who see me — all of me. Thank you for believing in what I stand for. Thank you for standing with me.
