The End of Dead Dollz — When “Support” Turns Into Sabotage:

I’m going to be clear and factual about my involvement with Dead Dollz, as there has been a shift in narrative that doesn’t reflect what actually took place.

I did not become involved casually. I paid to step in and support the group at a time when the girls were experiencing abuse and the situation required stabilising. Alongside that financial investment, I contributed my time, energy, and professional experience to support, promote, and help develop the brand in a constructive way. This included behind-the-scenes work such as promotion, interviews, written content, and actively working to reduce the level of external negativity the group was receiving.

My involvement was based on good faith and a clear intention to support growth and protect those within the group. However, the response I received did not reflect that. Communication became unprofessional, including voice messages delivered in a tone that was dismissive and disrespectful. This behaviour was then justified on the basis of seniority within the group, which is not an appropriate or professional standard. Length of time in a group does not entitle anyone to speak down to or undermine individuals who are actively contributing and supporting its development.

It is also important to clarify that the situation I stepped in to assist with was addressed. As such, the issues that followed were not related to financial matters, but instead appeared to stem from ongoing patterns of behaviour involving control, narrative management, and escalation. Rather than supporting efforts to protect the group and reduce harm, the environment shifted in a way that enabled the same behaviours that had caused concern in the first place.

Following this, I made the decision to step away. This was not due to a lack of commitment, but because I will not remain in environments where professional boundaries are not respected, contributions are dismissed, and unproductive or harmful behaviour is allowed to continue without accountability.

From my direct experience, the breakdown of Dead Dollz was not the result of a single misunderstanding, but a pattern of internal issues. These included the rejection of genuine support, the escalation of conflict, and the undermining of individuals who were working to improve the situation. These patterns are not conducive to growth and, over time, will destabilise any group or project.

I stand by the work I contributed and the intentions behind it. I also stand by my decision to step away. Maintaining professional standards, mutual respect, and accountability is essential in any collaborative environment, and where those are not present, it is appropriate to withdraw.

Ultimately, actions and patterns of behaviour provide the clearest understanding of any situation. I have chosen to move forward with that clarity.

A three-panel screenshot collage of a Facebook Messenger conversation with Brandy Shepherd. The messages, shown in blue, are written by Sarah Wingfield and outline a detailed, professional statement explaining her involvement in the Dead Dollz group. She states that she paid to step in, invested time, energy, and money to support and protect the girls, and contributed through promotion, interviews, blogging, and managing online hate.

The messages explain that she was met with disrespectful communication, including voice messages, and that this behaviour was justified by seniority within the group. Sarah challenges this, stating that time in a group does not justify dismissive or unprofessional treatment.

She further explains that the situation she helped resolve was not about money, but about ongoing patterns of behaviour, including conflict escalation and favouring individuals causing issues. The final message states that the handling of the situation was harmful to the group, that she will not remain in spaces where she is disrespected, and that continuing this behaviour will push away people who could help the group grow.

The collage is set against a black background, with a neon pink signature reading “Sarah Wingfield – Actress | Author | Advocate” and “KawaiiDollDecora.uk” at the bottom right.
