My Boundaries Are Not Up for Debate:

Image
My Boundaries Are Not Up for Debate: I will not apologise for safeguarding others, setting boundaries or asking for accountability. I do not tolerate bullying, victim-blaming or harmful behaviour. My focus is on my personal growth, my goals and supporting others — and I strongly recommend that others focus on their own lives rather than shaming people for speaking about harm. As a disabled and AuDHD woman, I carved out my own space in a world that often made me feel unwelcome. I found my people, built communities of my own and developed values that I stand by. I will not be bullied, manipulated or coerced into allowing unsafe individuals, toxic organisations or harmful behaviour into the spaces I have worked so hard to create. My safe spaces matter, and so does the safety of the people within them. I will protect every safe space I have built — fiercely. Had the behaviour towards me not been as serious as it was, I would have been perfectly willing to support and promote any organisati...

I Emailed the Prime Minister to Demand Action on Systemic Ableism:

Image
I Emailed the Prime Minister to Demand Action on Systemic Ableism I emailed our Prime Minister because I can already see disabled people being targeted. Our community deserves to be supported—not blamed, punished or harmed further. Disabled people face entrenched barriers in employment, higher living costs and persistent discrimination, yet public debate too often treats us as the problem. This is what I sent: " Dear Prime Minister, I am writing to urge your government to take meaningful action against systemic ableism and create stronger incentives for employers to recruit, retain and promote disabled people. Disabled people continue to encounter significant barriers to employment, including inaccessible recruitment processes, discrimination, inadequate workplace adjustments and assumptions about our abilities. Even when disabled people secure paid employment, many experience lower pay and fewer opportunities for progression. Disability also brings substantial additional living c...

Sunflower Lanyard Matters:

Image
"Should people really have to verify they're disabled by wearing a sunflower lanyard?" Me: No, but considering some people seem to think my walking stick is a fashion accessory, it doesn't hurt to remind people that they can't diagnose invisible conditions, fractures, dislocations, internal swelling, or any other medical condition with their eyes. People can be incredibly ignorant. If wearing a Sunflower Lanyard helps remind others that not every disability is visible and encourages a little more patience and respect, then that's no bad thing. Respect shouldn't have to be earned by proving you're disabled, but until society stops judging people by appearances, anything that helps challenge those assumptions has value. Nova Consilia Centre:

Re: Nova Consilia Centre: I can't honestly support this start-up organisation due to a direct conflict of interest. The organisation's founder is involved in an ongoing police-reported cyberstalking and harassment matter concerning me. As saddening as this is, safeguarding always has to come first. To avoid a conflict of interest and in the interests of safeguarding, I cannot approve or promote content relating to this organisation. Thank you for your understanding. Copyright theft, Intent to Harm & Meta:

Image
Copyright theft, Intent to Harm & Meta: I'm so frustrated : Meta has declined one of my copyright reports regarding over 20 incidents where my content was copied and redistributed without my consent, with the intent to cause harm, on the basis that they believe the content may fall under commentary, criticism or parody. My concern is that this decision appears to have been made without considering the wider context. The images form part of an ongoing police-reported cyberstalking investigation, involve my copyrighted photography and branding, and are accompanied by behaviour including repeated image theft, threats and unwanted contact. I've submitted evidence relating to each individual incident and respectfully ask Meta to conduct a full review of the complete evidence rather than assessing individual posts in isolation. Where there is an ongoing pattern of alleged harassment, context matters. I hope Meta's specialist teams will review all of the evidence, apply their ...

Beamish Museum Accessibility:

Image
Beamish Museum : 7/10 for accessibility: Today was an amazing day at Beamish Museum and I somehow managed an agonising 5,000 steps! 🥹💛 I can cry about it later 😂 but I'm genuinely proud of myself. Every step is part of my personal growth.  My disabilities are dynamic, which means some days are much harder than others, but I'm determined to keep moving forward. The ableist attitudes I've experienced over the years won't define what I'm capable of achieving. I let people misjudge me these days, it's easier ahaha. Beamish was fantastic.  The staff and visitors were lovely, respectful and it was wonderful seeing so many people of all ages enjoying themselves. The vintage streets, historic buildings and beautiful Art Deco theatre lighting made it such a special place to explore. It was busy with queues in some of the shops, but I brought my foldable stool for accessibility and only needed to use it once, which felt like a huge achievement. Small things like that m...
