People sometimes see a page, a group, a post, or a comment and don't realise how much work happens behind the scenes.
For transparency, these are some of the communities I currently manage and support.
The two largest community groups are:
📍 Aycliffe Uncensored – a group I created myself and have developed over time.
📍 Living in and around Darlington UK – a group that was entrusted to me to manage and continue running.
Alongside these, I also manage and support other communities focused on disability advocacy, health and wellbeing, photography, community support, and my own creative and professional work.
Community management isn't simply approving posts. It involves safeguarding, reviewing reports, handling disputes, supporting vulnerable members, maintaining standards, and helping to ensure communities remain safe and welcoming spaces.
The work is often unpaid, largely unseen, and at times challenging. However, I continue because I believe communities deserve places where people can connect, access information, find support, and feel heard.
People may not always agree with every decision I make, and that's okay. What matters is that I take those responsibilities seriously and always aim to act in the best interests of the communities I manage.
